A few things…including the Gratitude Dance.

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

If you’ve been following my blog, you may have gotten the impression that I’ve become a little lazy with my posts – erratic, to say the least. Guilty as charged, and I apologize.

There has been a lot going on, what with moving to a new city, looking for a job (still) and working on my novel, so my posts will continue to be erratic. To make up for it, I am leaving the e-book version of 101 Reasons to be Yourself available to you indefinitely. Just sign up at the top right and you’ll get it in your inbox. Feel free to leave comments about it on this blog, too. They’re always appreciated.

If you have any concerns about getting added to a pile of mailing lists, being overloaded with information or anything else of the sort, I assure you that I don’t have the energy for that. If anything, some day in the future you might get the occasional newsletter about new stuff I’ve come up with. I just want you to enjoy the book and maybe improve your life as a result.

Now, here’s the big sales pitch: You can also buy the physical book with your credit card or paypal account by hitting the ‘Buy Now’ button on the right. That’s it. Pretty straightforward, really. It’s a good book to have if you’re stuck and wanting to make some positive changes in your life.

On another topic, I came across The Gratidudes first video, “The Gratitude Dance”, a while ago and, since they live in the same city as I do, I hope to run into them soon and have a chat with them. They do some cool stuff, and are doing their part to make the world a better place.

New Creativity Enhancement Article, #50 of 101 and Google Hijinks.

Maybe I’m taking this whole Google-duplicate-content-means-losing-your-page-rank thing too seriously. I mean, I’m not exactly a search engine optimization expert in the first place – I didn’t even know what that was a few months ago. I just thought it would be fun to write articles and blogs to promote my book and now my online courses but then I got sucked in to the crazy world of online marketing.

So now I don’t want to post my articles on my blog because it might mess up any page rankings I may have achieved with late-night keyword searches and other internet marketing geekiness (which is kind of fun, actually).

This is what I will do. Post a link to the article directories that publish my stuff. I know, it seems like you’re getting the runaround, going to the blog, reading the post then getting sent elsewhere to get to the point. Maybe I’ll go back to not giving a toss about page rankings again, but for now, here’s the latest, Hitting “The Wall” and How to Get Over It!, published on SelfGrowth.com. It’s been submitted to PositiveArticles.com and EzineArticles.com as well.

This article came about because I hit the wall on more than one project last week and used a different strategy on each to get over it. (That’s the point of the article – to share my strategies.) There is one more biggie to wrap up that boils down to plain old procrastination, so here I am writing about it instead of doing it. I guess the next article to look forward to is probably going to have something to do with – you guessed it – procrastination or laziness or some such thing.

Until next time, here is #50 of 101 Reasons to be Yourself – Get Over It
