Passion is all about you!

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Believe it or not, passion is not just about sex. Passionate sex is great – no doubt about that! All I’m saying is that passion starts and ends with you – how you live, how you feel about yourself, what you create in your life and what really turns your crank. A passionate person owns it. You know what I’m saying. A passionate person has charisma, lives creatively, goes the extra mile, stimulates positive energy and generally inspires those around them…and has great sex, too.

During this Valentines Week, instead of expecting romance and passion to come to you, why not make it happen yourself? Fan the flames of whatever desire you have, whether it be your relationship, your home life, your work or your creative ideas? Scratch that – use your creative ideas to make everything in your life come alive.

As St. Ignatius Loyola says on my fridge magnet, “Go forth and set the world on fire.” (That’s right beside “Attention! Chien Bizarre!” and “She knew how to humor herself”.)

You don’t need any outside occurrence to ignite your own passion. It is already there, just waiting to bust loose, perhaps in shocking fashion or a milder expression, but it is definitely there.

All you have to do is let it out. Go on, open the door and just let it out. I dare you.
